Estudi etnogràfic sobre el nivell de cooperació en un equip de bàsquet infantil

Abstract

El repte d’aquest estudi etnogràfic és mostrar el nivell de cooperació que es va anar creant en un equip de bàsquet masculí al llarg d’una temporada competitiva. En l’article es descriu com s’ha estudiat la cooperació des de la psicologia esportiva per després, des d’un paradigma constructivista, estudiar-la com un procés de comunicació que es va construint a través de la interacció entre els membres de l’equip. Per analitzar aquest procés de comunicació es parteix d’un perfil d’entrenador que vol promoure la cooperació i amb aquest objectiu utilitza tècniques d’aprenentatge cooperatiu per tal que els seus esportistes participin en les xerrades prepartit, de la mitja part i postpartit. Amb les dades obtingudes de la gravació de veu de les xerrades es realitza una categorització de les intervencions dels membres de l’equip i els resultats mostren que al llarg de la temporada la responsabilitat i l’avaluació de l’equip augmenten i disminueixen les habilitats socials negatives. L’estudi es planteja un segon repte que és mostrar el procés comunicatiu que hi va haver a l’equip i, per aquest motiu, s’escull representar les dades a través de l’escriptura de narratives. La cooperació és un procés dinàmic, maduratiu, contextual i complex, i representar els resultats en format narratiu permet mostrar el procés de construcció.

The challenge of this ethnographic study was to show the level of cooperation built up in an under-14 male basketball team during one competitive season. The article starts by describing sports psychology studies on cooperation, and then goes on to study it from a constructivist paradigm as a communication process which is constructed through team members’ interaction. In order to fully analyze this communication process we began with the profile of a coach who wants to promote cooperation and to that end uses cooperative learning techniques to encourage their players to actively participate in the discussions that take place before, during and after the games. With the data collected by recording these discussions we categorized players’ interactions and the results show that over the course of the season the responsibility and the assessment of the team increase and reduce negative social skills. The study tackles a second challenge which is to show the communicative process that took place in the team and for this reason we chose to represent the data through writing narratives. Cooperation is a dynamic, developmental, contextual and complex process and representing the results in a narrative format makes it possible to display the construction process.
