Els contractes d’arres. Traducció i anàlisi de textos en català i en espanyol

Abstract

El present Treball de Fi de Grau té per objecte l’estudi les traduccions dels contractes d’arres en espanyol i català i, juntament amb les assignatures de Traducció Jurídica entre ambdues llengües, permet a l’estudiant obtenir l’habilitació com a Traductor Jurat de la Generalitat de Catalunya. Després d’una introducció al llenguatge jurídic i a les diferències entre traducció jurídica i traducció jurada, al llarg del treball s’estudia el context teòric i legal en el qual s’emmarca aquesta tipologia textual, les característiques pròpies dels contractes d’arres –en tant que concepte i llenguatge jurídic–, s’analitza un corpus d’un total de quatre textos originals –amb especial menció a la macroestructura dels textos– i se’n proposen les traduccions. Posteriorment, l’anàlisi i el comentari traductològics permeten trobar els errors més habituals en aquest tipus de textos i justificar les opcions de traducció amb la finalitat de produir textos correctes i genuïns en les dues llengües de treball.

The aim of this final degree project is to study the translation of earnest money agreements in Spanish and Catalan and, together with the subjects of Legal Translation of both languages, enables the student as a Sworn Translator for the Government of Catalonia. After an introduction to legal language and the differences between legal translation and sworn translation, this study examines the theoretical and legal contexts of the text typology, the characteristics of earnest money agreements – both as a concept and as legal language –, and analyses a corpus of four texts – with a special emphasis on structural aspects – to finally propose their translations. Subsequently, the translation analysis and commentary help detect common errors in this type of texts and translation options can be justified in order to produce correct and genuine texts in both languages.
