El pati escolar com a eina par a la inclusió i la igualtat

Abstract

La societat ha anat evolucionant al llarg dels anys i, amb ella, l’escola. El pati escolar és un espai que habitualment ha estat oblidat i considerat només un lloc d’esbarjo per desfogar l’alumnat i el professorat durant la jornada lectiva, sense tenir en compte el seu valor educatiu. En una societat tan diversa com és la nostra, el pati és un espai on s’acostumen a reproduir els estigmes i rols socials, tot provocant discriminacions i desigualtats entre l’alumnat. Per això, aquesta recerca centra l’atenció en el pati escolar i les seves funcions com a lloc d’aprenentatge per als infants. L'organització del pati és necessària per disminuir i eliminar les discriminacions i desigualtats, convertint-lo en un espai per viure i conviure inclusivament i de manera igualitària per a tothom. A través d’una metodologia de recerca qualitativa aplicada a un cas concret, mitjançant observacions directes, el diari de camp, un qüestionari per a l’alumnat i una entrevista, la investigació realitzada està orientada cap a la millora del pati escolar.

Society has evolved over the years, and so has school. The schoolyard is a space that has often been forgotten and considered only a place of recreation to relieve students and teachers during the school day, regardless of its educational value. In a society as diverse as ours, the playground is a space where social stigmas and roles are often reproduced, causing discrimination and inequality among students. Therefore, this research focuses on the schoolyard and its functions as a place where children can also learn. The organization of the schoolyard is necessary to reduce and eliminate discrimination and inequality, making it a space to live and coexist inclusively and equally for all. Through a qualitative research methodology applied to a specific case, through direct observations, the field diary, a questionnaire for students and an interview, the research carried out is aimed to improve recess.
