Disfunción eréctil : tratamiento con fármaco vs tecar terapia y fármaco

Abstract

Introducción: La Disfunción Eréctil (DE) es un trastorno sexual masculino caracterizado por la incapacidad para lograr y/o mantener una erección suficiente para la realización de la relación sexual. Con una prevalencia en España que culmina el 12,1% y que corresponde aproximadamente a 1,5-2 millones de hombres afectados, la DE aparece como un problema de salud de grande amplitud. Objetivo: Evaluar la efectividad de un nuevo protocolo terapéutico para la DE que combina la TECAR Terapia y el tratamiento convencional farmacológico. Metodología: Ensayo clínico aleatorizado, cuantitativo y experimental, pre y post-tratamiento. Estará compuesto por 20 hombres de edades comprendidas entre 25 y 55 años, sexualmente activos y con diagnóstico médico de DE. Estos participantes serán divididos de manera aleatorizada en dos grupos de 10 hombres. El grupo de control recibirá el tratamiento convencional farmacológico, mientras que, el grupo experimental recibirá el mismo tratamiento convencional, pero al cual añadiremos 2 sesiones/semana de TECAR Terapia. La durada de tratamiento de ambos grupos será de 12 semanas. Con el fin de poder evaluar la efectividad del nuevo protocolo de tratamiento, ambos grupos serán sometidos a la valoración de la intensidad de la DE (a través de los test IIEF y SHIM), del dolor (a través de la Escala Analógica EVA), y del impacto que tiene la DE sobre la calidad de su vida (a través del cuestionario SEAR). Estas valoraciones se realizarán antes de iniciar los tratamientos, a las 6 y 12 semanas de tratamiento, y finalmente 1 año después del tratamiento (valoración de seguimiento). Limitaciones: La posible pérdida de adherencia al tratamiento y el costo elevado de la máquina de TECAR Terapia.

Introduction: Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is a male sexual disorder characterized by the inability to achieve and / or maintain an erection during sexual intercourse. With a prevalence in Spain that covers 12.1% and corresponds to approximately 1.5-2 million affected men, ED is presented as a rapid growing health problem. Objective: Evaluate the effectiveness of a new therapeutic protocol for ED that combines TECAR Therapy and conventional pharmacological treatment. Methodology: Randomized, quantitative and experimental clinical trial, pre and post-treatment. It will be composed of 20 men between 25 and 55 years old, sexually active and with a medical diagnosis of ED. These participants will be divided randomly into two groups of 10 men. The control group will receive the conventional pharmacological treatment, while the experimental group will receive the same conventional treatment, but to which we will add 2 sessions / week of TECAR Therapy. The duration of treatment of both groups will be 12 weeks. With the purpose to evaluate the effectiveness of the new treatment protocol, both groups will be submitted to the assessment of the intensity of the ED (through the IIEF and SHIM tests), of the pain (through the Analogical Scale EVA), and the impact that ED has on the quality of his life (through the SEAR questionnaire). These assessments will be made before starting treatments, at 6 and 12 weeks of treatment, and finally 1 year after treatment (follow-up assessment). Limitations: The possible loss of adherence to treatment and the high cost of the TECAR Therapy machine.
