Actualització dels coneixements del trastorn obsessiu compulsiu

Abstract

En l’actualitat el Trastorn Obsessiu Compulsiu (TOC) afecta un 2% dels ciutadans espanyols i és considerat una de les malalties més incapacitants. Per aquest motiu, és important estudiar quin és l’estat actual d’aquest trastorn. En el present treball es realitza un article de revisió sobre el TOC. Els temes en els quals es centra aquesta revisió són l’evolució del concepte del TOC, les causes del trastorn, els símptomes, com es realitza el diagnòstic, el tractament farmacològic, la intervenció psicològica, la qualitat de vida i l’afectació de la COVID-19 en els pacients. Per dur a terme aquest treball, es realitza una recerca de 124 articles amb evidència científica aplicant els criteris de selecció. Posteriorment, es seleccionen 36 articles per redactar la revisió. La realització d’aquest treball, ha permès observar com ha evolucionat la investigació d’aquest trastorn al llarg del temps, com els canvis de concepte, l’augment d’estudis sobre les estructures cerebrals implicades en el TOC i l’evolució del tractament tant a nivell psicològic com a nivell farmacològic.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) currently affects 2% of Spanish citizens and it is considered one of the most disabling diseases. For this reason, it is important to study the current status of this disorder. A review article on OCD has been carried out in this work. The topics of this review are focused on the evolution of the concept of OCD, the causes of the disorder, the symptoms, how the diagnosis is made, pharmacological treatment, psychological intervention, quality of life and the effect of COVID-19 on patients. In order to carry out this work, a search of 124 articles with scientific evidence was carried out, the selection criteria were applied. Subsequently, 36 articles were selected to write the review. The realization of this work has allowed us to observe how research on this disorder has evolved over time, such as the changes in concept, the increase in studies on the brain structures involved in OCD and the evolution of treatment at both the psychological and pharmacological levels.
