Impacte emocional de les dones que se sotmeten a processos de reproducció assistida

Abstract

Aquest Treball de Final de Grau s’inicia amb la finalitat de conèixer i analitzar l’impacte emocional que pateixen les pacients que se sotmeten a processos de tècniques de reproducció assistida (TRA). La recerca i la varietat de situacions i informacions sobre el tema en qüestió permetrà, a més de tractar i comprendre l’impacte emocional que moltes vegades es genera per l’ús d’aquestes tècniques de reproducció assistida, poder conèixer la tipologia diversa que existeix d’aquestes tècniques i les diferents causes i motius que provoquen la seva utilització. L’anàlisi que es porta a terme està fonamentat a partir dels antecedents teòrics i pràctics de referència i la informació que existeix sobre el tema, tot considerant les idees i coneixements de diversos autors. De manera pràctica, s’ha considerat la necessitat de comprovar si els conceptes teòrics són extrapolables a les vivències i experiències reals de professionals i pacients de tècniques de reproducció assistida. L’estudi s’ha realitzat a partir d’una metodologia qualitativa, en concret, a través d’entrevistes semiestructurades realitzades a 2 psicòlegs professionals dedicats a la reproducció assistida, així com dirigides a 4 pacients d’aquests processos reproductius, per tal de poder identificar quines són les dificultats més rellevants amb les quals un professional d’aquest àmbit es pot trobar, i també els efectes i conseqüències emocionals de les pacients que han viscut i experimentat aquest procés de reproducció humana assistida. Els resultats evidencien la necessitat de l’acompanyament i suport psicològic durant els processos de reproducció assistida, donat l’alt impacte emocional que aquests processos poden generar en les pacients que els experimenten. Així mateix, els resultats de la present investigació han ajudat a conèixer la ineficiència dels recursos organitzatius i professionals dels centres reproductius, envers la intervenció dels efectes emocionals viscuts per les dones durant els processos de reproducció assistida.

This research's main objective is to know and analyse the emotional impact suffered by patients undergoing assisted reproduction techniques (ART). The variety of situations and information obtained on the subject will allow the understanding of the emotional impact that is often generated by using these assisted reproduction techniques. In addition, all the data recollected on the subject leads to acknowledging the diverse typology that exists about ART and the different causes and reasons that triggers their use. The analysis carried out is based on the theoretical and practical background of reference that exists on the subject, taking into account the ideas of various authors. In the practical framework, it has been necessary to test whether theoretical concepts can be extrapolated to the actual experiences of professionals and patients through assisted reproduction techniques. The study was based on a qualitative methodology, mainly through semi-structured interviews conducted with two professional psychologists who worked at assisted reproduction centers and aimed at four patients who had experienced these reproductive processes. During the interviews, the most relevant difficulties that a professional in this field may encounter and the effects and emotional consequences of patients who have been through this process of assisted human reproduction have been identified. The result highlights the need for psychological support during assisted reproduction processes, given the high emotional impact these processes can have on patients who experience them. Likewise, the present research results have helped to know the inefficiency of the organisational and professional resources of the reproductive centers towards the intervention of the emotional effects experienced by the women during the processes of assisted reproduction.
