Efectivitat de la fisioteràpia en menors d’entre 10 i 15 anys amb necessitats pal·liatives per malaltia oncològica: protocol d’assaig clínic no aleatoritzat

Abstract

Objectiu: L’objectiu d’estudi és avaluar l’efectivitat d’una intervenció de fisioteràpia extrahospitalària en menors d’entre 10 i 15 anys amb necessitats pal·liatives per malaltia oncològica amb relació a la qualitat de vida, dolor, força i mobilitat. Metodologia: Es durà a terme un estudi experimental quantitatiu tipus assaig clínic controlat no aleatoritzat a simple sec. Es realitzarà a l’Hospital Sant Joan de Déu i a l’Hospital Parc Taulí. L’estudi tindrà una durada d’intervenció de 3 mesos i global d’entre 2 i 3 anys. Aquest comptarà amb una mostra total de 72 participants d’entre 10 i 15 anys diagnosticats de malaltia oncològica amb necessitats pal·liatives, que es dividirà en dos grups de 36 participants, formant el grup control els infants de l’Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu i el grup experimental els infants de l’Hospital Parc Taulí. El grup experimental se sotmetrà a una intervenció de fisioteràpia extrahospitalària i el grup control no rebrà modificacions al tractament actual. Per observar l’eficàcia de tractament es faran avaluacions a l’inici, final i seguiment de la intervenció. Limitacions: Les limitacions més destacables són l’abandonament per la tipologia de participants, la influència econòmica i la mida de la mostra.

Objective: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of physical therapy out of hospital intervention on underage children between the ages of 10 and 15 with palliative necessities due to oncologic disease in relation to quality of life, pain, strength and mobility. Methodology: A non-randomized, controlled clinical trial-type quantitative experimental study will be carried out. It will be held at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital and Parc Taulí Hospital. The study will have an intervention duration of 3 months and an overall duration of between 2 and 3 years. The study will have a total sample of 72 participants between 10 and 15 years old diagnosed with an oncological disease with palliative needs, which will be divided into two groups of 36 participants, forming the control group, the children of the Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu, and the experimental group, the children of the Hospital Parc Taulí. The experimental group will undergo an out-of-hospital physiotherapy intervention, and the control group will not receive modifications to the current treatment. To observe the effectiveness of treatment, assessments will be made at the beginning, end and follow-up of the intervention. Limitations: The most remarkable limitations of the study are the dropout due to the participant’s typology, the econòmic influence and the dimension of the sample
