Millora de l’autocura en pacients amb Insuficiència Cardíaca

Abstract

Introducció L’autocura en pacients amb insuficiència cardíaca (IC) és un aspecte cau per millorar la seva qualitat de vida, prevenir descompensacions i reduir tant la taxa de mortalitat com la de rehospitalitzacions. Malgrat la seva importància, molts pacients no tenen els coneixements ni les eines necessàries per gestionar adequadament la seva malaltia. L’educació sanitària, especialment des d’infermeria, pot tenir un paper fonamental en l’adherència terapèutica i en el control dels hàbits saludables. Objectius Dissenyar i implementar una intervenció educativa aplicada per professionals d’infermeria en pacients diagnosticats recentment d’IC, per augmentar el grau d’autocura. Metodologia Implementació a la Unitat d’Insuficiència Cardíaca (UIC) de l’Hospital General de Vic mitjançant un disseny quasiexperimental pre-post intervenció, de caràcter prospectiu i longitudinal. La mostra estarà formada per 350 pacients de 65 anys o més, diagnosticats amb insuficiència cardíaca de novo. Per la valoració del grau d’autocura s’utilitzarà l’Escala Europea d’Autocura en la Insuficiència Cardíaca (EHFScBS) abans i després de la intervenció, juntament amb dades sociodemogràfiques i clíniques; anàlisi estadístic amb el programa informàtic SPSS. La intervenció educativa consistirà en set sessions quinzenals de 40 minuts centrades en l’autocura, incloent-hi adherència terapèutica i gestió de la malaltia, seguides de cinc visites mensuals per reforçar els coneixements adquirits i controlar l’estat de salut dels participants. Aplicabilitat pràctica S’espera que aquesta intervenció educativa contribueixi a millorar el grau d’autocura dels pacients amb IC, promovent un millor control de la malaltia i una reducció de les complicacions associades. A més, els resultats podrien servir de base per implementar programes d’educació sanitària en altres UICs o en atenció primària, optimitzant l’abordatge terapèutic i millorant la qualitat de vida dels pacients.

Introduction Self-care in patients with heart failure (HF) is a key aspect of improving their quality of life, preventing decompensation, and reducing both mortality and rehospitalization rates. Despite its importance, many patients lack the knowledge or tools necessary to manage their disease effectively. Health education, particularly from nursing professionals, can play a fundamental role in enhancing therapeutic adherence and promoting healthy habits. Objectives To design and implement an educational intervention delivered by nursing professionals to patients recently diagnosed with HF, with the aim of increasing the degree of self-care. Methodology Implementation will take place in the Heart Failure Unit (IFU) of the General Hospital of Vic through a quasi-experimental pre-post intervention design that is prospective and longitudinal. The sample will consist of 350 patients aged 65 or older, diagnosed with de novo heart failure within the last month. The European Heart Failure Self-Care Scale (EHFScBS) will be utilized to assess the degree of self-care before and after the intervention, along with sociodemographic and clinical data; analysis will be conducted using the SPSS software program. The educational intervention will include seven biweekly 40-minute sessions focused on self care, covering therapeutic adherence and disease management, followed by five monthly visits to reinforce knowledge and monitor health status. Practical applicability This educational intervention is expected to improve the degree of self-care among patients with HF, leading to better disease management and a reduction in associated complications. Furthermore, the results could serve as a foundation for implementing health education programs in other ICUs or in primary care settings, optimizing the therapeutic approach and enhancing the quality of life for patients.
