Abstract
Embracing impermanence and constant change is a powerful way to up date our relationship with the city in the triple sense of how it is designed,
used and managed. The meta-model of the superblocks provides an ideal
framework for that effort.1
Because of its temporary nature, ephemeral
architecture can achieve significant social impact using limited economic
and material resources. The social potential of ephemeral architecture
should be a core element to consider in the expansion of the superblock
meta-model
