Traducció del Memoràndum de Nelson Mandela

Abstract

L'objectiu principal d'aquest Treball de Fi de Grau és la traducció d'un text jurídic, en aquest cas, del Memoràndum del testament de Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela va ser una persona molt important en la lluita contra el racisme a Sud-àfrica i en l'alliberació del poble sud-africà. Aquest memoràndum és el resum del que apareix al seu testament. En aquest treball es reflexa el procés que s'ha seguit a l'hora de realitzar la traducció, és a dir, la recerca d'informació sobre el dret de successions de Catalunya i de Sud-àfrica, l'elaboració de les fitxes terminològiques amb la terminologia específica del llenguatge jurídic, la consulta de fonts fiables per realitzar la traducció i l'exposició dels problemes que han sorgit a l'hora de traduir aquest memoràndum, l'anàlisi detallat dels problemes i les solucions adoptades.

The main objective of this final paper is the translation of a legal text, in this case, the Memorandum relating to last will and testament of Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela was a very influential person in the fight against racism in South Africa and for the freedom of the people of South Africa. This memorandum is the summary of his last will and testament. This paper outlines the procedure that I have followed to carry out the translation, that is, the search of information about the Succession Law in Catalonia and South Africa, the drawing up of sheets of specific terminology of the legal language, the use of good resources to carry out the translation, the presentation of the problems encountered in the translation, the detailed analysis of the problems and the solutions adopted.
