La traducció i els acords prematrimonials - Translation of a premarital agreement from the state of North Carolina, county of Mecklenburg

Abstract

La finalitat d’aquest treball és realitzar una traducció jurídica. En aquest cas es tracta d’una traducció d’un acord prematrimonial de l’estat de Carolina del Nord. Al llarg d’aquest treball analitzarem la traducció i en compararem certs exemples amb el text original. També investigarem sobre el tema escollit i examinarem les diferents lleis relatives a l’acord prematrimonial, tant del nostre país com dels Estats Units d’Amèrica. Cal tenir en compte que la traducció de documents jurídics requereix precisió i responsabilitat. Dit això, a continuació veurem el sistema que hem seguit per dur a terme aquest treball.

The purpose of this course paper is to carry out a legal translation. In this case, it’s a translation of a premarital agreement from the State of North Carolina. Throughout this project we analyze the translation and we compare some examples of it with the original text. We also investigate about the chosen topic and we study the different laws related to premarital agreement, both from our country and from the United States. It should be pointed out that a legal translation requires precision and responsibility. Having said that, below is the system that we followed to accomplish this paper.
