La traducción de canciones en obras de teatro musical: Análisis de la traducción inglés-español de las canciones del musical Spamalot

Abstract

El objeto de estudio de este trabajo es la traducción de canciones y, por ello, en el marco teórico analizamos a diferentes estudiosos que han tratado este tema. La finalidad es comprender cuáles son las dificultades que tienen los traductores de canciones y cómo las afrontan. En la parte práctica del trabajo se analiza la traducción inglés-español de cinco canciones del musical Spamalot, centrándonos principalmente en las técnicas de traducción empleadas.

The object of study of this work is song translation and, thus, in the theoretical framework we analyze different scholars who have addressed this topic. The purpose is to understand the difficulties that song translators have and how they deal with them. In the practical part of the work we analyze the English-Spanish translation of five songs of the musical Spamalot, focusing mainly on the translation techniques used.
