El hábito lector en los alumnos de bachillerato del Instituto Apel·les Mestres

Abstract

Tras la experiencia de duración bimensual con el alumnado de Bachillerato del INS Apel·les Mestres, se comprobó una falta grave del hábito lector y, por ende, para el alumnado suponía una gran dificultad el entendimiento y estudio de las obras de carácter obligatorio. Como objetivo de mejorar esa situación, se entrevistó a docentes del centro para conocer las metodologías que empleaban y saber la opinión que tenían con el panorama literario en sus alumnos. Para conocer el hábito lector del alumnado se empleó una encuesta. Se contó con entrevistas de trabajadores de las Bibliotecas públicas de Barcelona para obtener una visión desde fuera de las aulas al uso que hacen los adolescentes de este servicio. A pesar de obtener un resultado beneficioso sobre el hábito lector del alumnado, la influencia del mundo de los youtubers y los influencers sumado al consumo de la literatura juvenil que aboca a los best-sellers, genera un hábito lector muy precario e insuficiente. Para mejorar esta situación, se propone un uso de las tecnologías y las redes sociales más utilitario e incluyendo la familia en la mejora y creación del hábito lector.

The bi-monthly experience that was experienced with the INS Apel•les Mestres Baccalaureate students revealed a serious lack of reading habit. Furthermore, the students showed great difficulty in understanding and studying the compulsory works. To improve this situation, teachers from the center were interviewed in order to learn about the methodologies used and the opinion they had about the literary panorama of the students. In order to know the reading habit of the students, a survey was used. Likewise, some public library workers in Barcelona were interviewed with the aim of obtaining a point of view away from the classroom and checking how adolescents use this service. Despite obtaining a satisfactory result in relation to the reading habit of the students, youtubers and influencers, as well as the consumption of youth literature that leads to best-sellers, influence to the point that reading is precarious and insufficient. In order to improve this situation, a proposal is carried out in which technologies and social networks play an important role with families in order to improve and develop the reading habit.
