Quina guerra? La memòria pública a través de la creación artística vinculada a l'educació. Procés d'aproximació a la historia de l'hospital Sueco-Noruego d'Alcoi

Abstract

L’objectiu d’aquest treball de fi de grau és mostrar un procés alternatiu d’aproximació a la memòria vinculat a l’educació i a través de la pràctica i la creació artística. Per fer-ho, se centra en investigar un edifici de la ciutat d’Alcoi, l’edifici de l’Escola industrial que va acollir l’Hospital de Sang Sueco-Noruego en la guerra civil espanyola. Amb aquest context s’analitza la relació entre memòria pública, educació i art des de la premissa de que la memòria pública és fonamental per a la construcció de la identitat col·lectiva de la societat i de que l’art i l’educació són eines útils per a vehicular-la i transmetre-la. D’una banda s’analitzen els conceptes i es contextualitza l’espai per emprendre un viatge experimental a través de la pràctica artística, així, mitjançant un diari de procés es canalitza tota la informació i dades recollides. D’altra banda es reflexiona sobre els mecanismes de la memòria, la importància de la història, els mecanismes educatius i el vincle que ho uneix tot a l’educació social. En conclusió, aquest treball vol mostrar una manera diferent d’acostar-se a la recerca, a la història, a l’educació i a l’art. Donant la màxima importància al procés, atenent la dificultat i sostenint un ritme més pausat que doni espai a la creació. Una forma de treballar que coexisteix amb aquella més acadèmica o formal, que se situa al marge per observar i actuar des d’allà i que ofereix uns resultats oberts i interpretables de la mà d’una obra artística.

The aim of this thesis is to show an alternative process of approaching memory linked to education through practice and artistic creation. To do this, the focus is on investigating the Industrial School building that housed the Swedish-Norwegian Blood Hospital during the Spanish Civil War located in Alcoy. With this context, the relationship between public memory, education and art is analyzed from the premise that public memory is fundamental for the construction of society's collective identity and that art and education are useful tools to convey and transmit it. On the one hand, the concepts are analyzed and contextualized in the referred space to undertake an experimental journey through the artistic practice. A process diary was used to collect and channel all the information and data found. On the other hand, this research reflects on the mechanisms of memory, the importance of history, educational mechanisms and the link that unites everything to social education. In conclusion, this work wants to show a different way of approaching research, history, education and art. Giving maximum importance to the process, attending to the difficulty and maintaining a more leisurely rhythm that gives space to creation. A way of working that coexists with what is more academic or formal, that is placed on the sidelines to observe and act from there and that offers results that are open and interpretable by the hand of an artistic work.
