The discovery of the english language through the early oral literatures

Abstract

The aim of this study is to design a didactic proposal that helps students discover the English language through early oral literatures, setting aside technologies and screens. The didactic proposal has been created and is based on various theoretical studies on early oral literatures in early childhood education. Two fundamental readings will guide the presented didactic project: La màgia de llegir en veu alta by Meghan Cox (2022) and Primeres literatures a l’educació infantil by Vanesa Amat (2019). The didactic delivery is intended for early childhood education students, and therefore, proposals suitable for this stage have been selected. Based on the theories and techniques presented in the study, a piece of furniture accompanied by a guide has been designed with the aim of providing different resources and strategies to teachers or adults interested in introducing the English language to children in early childhood education.

L’objectiu del present estudi és dissenyar una proposta didàctica que ajudi els alumnes a descobrir la llengua anglesa a través de les primeres literatures orals, deixant de banda les tecnologies i les pantalles. La proposta didàctica ha estat creada i es basa en diferents estudis teòrics sobre les primeres literatures orals a l’educació infantil. Dues lectures fonamentals guiaran el projecte didàctic presentat: La màgia de llegir en veu alta de Meghan Cox (2022) i Primeres literatures a l’educació infantil de Vanesa Amat (2019). L’entrega didàctica està pensada per a alumnes d’educació infantil, i per això s’han seleccionat propostes adequades per aquesta etapa. Segons les teories i tècniques exposades a l’estudi, s’ha dissenyat un moble acompanyat d’una guia amb l’objectiu de facilitar diferents recursos i estratègies a mestres o persones adultes interessats a fer descobrir la llengua anglesa a infants a l’etapa d’educació infantil.
