La comunitat gitana i l'educació

Abstract

Aquest treball intenta mostrar que la comunitat gitana forma part de la nostra societat com una de les principals minories ètniques i poble. A més, aquesta investigació està estretament relacionada amb la cultura gitana i l’educació. Per tal de dur a terme aquesta investigació, s’ha fet una recerca teòrica sobre diversos punts rellevants respecte a l’educació i la cultura gitana en concret i, d’afegit, s’ha portat a terme una investigació a una escola de Barcelona dins d’un barri amb alt percentatge d’alumnat d’ètnia gitana. S’han fet sis entrevistes a professionals de l’escola i famílies. En aquesta investigació, s’ha procurat observar de manera més detallada la relació entre l’escola i les famílies d’ètnia gitana i la situació educativa dels infants gitanos. Aquesta recerca conclou indicant que encara és necessari millorar les pràctiques educatives per a la inclusió de la comunitat gitana.

This work tries to show that the Roma community is part of our society as one of the main ethnic minorities and people. In addition, this research is closely related to Roma culture and education. In order to carry out this research, theoretical research has been carried out on various relevant points with regard to education and Roma culture in particular and, in addition, this research has been carried out at a school in Barcelona within a neighborhood with a high percentage of Roma students. In this research, we have tried to observe in more detail the relationship between the school and the Roma families and the educational situation of the Roma children. Six interviews were conducted with school professionals and families.
