Quin valor dona la comunitat educativa als patis escolars?

Abstract

El present estudi pretén explorar el valor que dona la comunitat educativa als patis escolars i analitzar la importància d'aquests en el context educatiu. Per a fer-ho s'han comparat dos centres educatius utilitzant una graella d’observació, un qüestionari en línia per veure quin ús dona el claustre al pati i una entrevista a les directores dels respectius centres per comprendre les oportunitats educatives de diferents tipologies de pati escolar. S’han analitzat les característiques físiques i de disseny arquitectònic de diferents tipus de pati, l'ús del pati com a espai de desenvolupament en el temps d'esbarjo, l'ús del pati com a espai de desenvolupament del currículum i l'ús del pati com a espai per crear comunitat. Els resultats mostren que és necessari dissenyar l’espai del pati amb l’objectiu de donar resposta a les necessitats i demandes dels alumnes. A més, és important, que els equips docents reflexionin sobre/siguin conscients de les possibilitats d'ús i d'adaptació i millora dels patis escolars, ja que quan el pati escolar s'integra plenament en el procés educatiu, es converteix en un escenari vital per al desenvolupament integral de l’infant. Per altra banda, aquest espai com a recurs educatiu enriqueix les experiències educatives dels alumnes i el seu propi aprenentatge. L'espai del pati escolar es converteix en un punt de trobada on es creen relacions interpersonals, es fomenta la companyonia i es promou la col·laboració entre tots els agents educatius

The present study aims to explore the value given by the educational community to school playgrounds and to analyze their importance in the educational context. To this end, two schools were compared using an observation grid, an online questionnaire to see what use the school staff makes of the schoolyard, and an interview with the principals of the respective schools to understand the educational opportunities of different types of schoolyards. We analyzed the physical and architectural design characteristics of different types of playgrounds, the use of the playground as a space for playtime development, the use of the playground as a space for curriculum development, and the use of the playground as a space for community building. The results show that it is necessary to design the playground space with the objective of responding to the needs and demands of the students. In addition, it is important for teaching teams to reflect on/be aware of the possibilities for use and adaptation and improvement of schoolyards, since when the schoolyard is fully integrated into the educational process, it becomes a vital setting for the integral development of the child. On the other hand, this space as an educational resource enriches the students' educational experiences and their own learning. The schoolyard space becomes a meeting point where interpersonal relationships are created, companionship is fostered and collaboration is promoted
